Night By Elie Wiesel

The book Night by Elie Wiesel was just written a few years after World War II. After World War II people didn't want to read books about the Jews experience in concentration camps. Around 10 years after Elie Wiesel was released from Auschwitz he published a book about his experience.
What was different to other books about the work in concentration camps was this was the first book that I read that talks about pickaxing. Unlike in other books they talk about how working in the gas chambers, in the ovens, etc. Also is the first book that read about a father and son being able to see each other unlike other that were separated from their families. The experience that Elie went the with the beatings, the beatings he saw, especial the beating that killed he father. He was afraid that they will beaten so he lay silently on his bed while his father was being beaten.
Its one of the most read book about the Holocaust along with Any Frank The Diary of a Young Girl and If This Is a Man by Primo Levi. The books speak about what they and other Jews suffered in the concentration camps. And shows of what could have not happen if this was stopped.
Every since the end of World War II he has visited Auschwitz a few times. He has in facted visited it once with Oprah Winfrey.
