To Kill A Mockingbird By Harper Lee

In my book To Kill  A Mockingbird by Harper Lee the main character Scout is a young girl who looks out for her brother and has maturity. At her age which is around 6 and 7, she looks out for here brother Jem. A way she looks out for him is one day Jem and Dill ( who comes to visit his aunt in Maycomb, Albama) decide to leave a note to who they believe is still living cause of all the rumors going around town that Boo Radley who hasn't left his house still lives. Jem and dill want to leave a note so that Boo Radley can come out and meet them. But Scout tries to convince them to not do it. But some how they do she lets them do it. They then end up getting caught by their father Atticus.
Another one way is Jem and Dill want to see if Boo Radley is still in his house. Scout is shocked to hear what their going to to do and tells them that he'll kill them if they disturb him. Scout goes along with them. They see a shadow. Scout, Jem and Dill are shocked and they start running. While their running they hear a roar of a shotgun shatter threw the whole neighborhood. People then started to crowed around the Radley house. Mr. Nathan Radley was standing outside with a shotgun across his arm.
This could have resulted in injury or death. This shows that she cares a lot for her brother Jem and Dill.

Plagiarizing

#1. What the student did wrong was that he/she used words from the original text. What he/she could have done was cited the source.
#2. In Vincent Van Gogh: Starry Night by an unknown author the author states how people react to seeing the painting starry night by Vincent Van Gogh in different ways., "There are actually several main aspects that intrigue those who view this image, and each factors affects each individual different" (14-16)
#3. 3 ways to avoid plagiarizing is to reread and think how to reword it. Another way to avoid plagiarizing is if your going to use the exact words cite it. And another way is to take notes on what your reading and use your notes to reword it.

Article Assigment

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/chris_mannix/04/08/knicks.bulls/index.html

The Article that I read is about how Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks had a season high 43
Carmelo Anthony's season-high 43 points kept the Knicks in line for a playoff spot. points against the first place team in the Eastern conference Chicago Bulls. The author of the article states that this is what Carmelo should be doing for the rest of the season. Which I agree with the author because since they Knicks are in 8th place in the Eastern conference they need to try and win if they want to stay in the playoff picture since the Milwaukee Bucks are looking to pass the knicks to be in the playoffs.
Ever since Carmelo was traded to the Knicks last year he has been having bad moments according to sports illustrated. But on April 8 against the Chicago Bulls Carmelo helped the Knicks to defeat the Bulls. This is one of his good moments. Which also shows something. Earlier in the season fans were saying that Carmelo was hogging the ball to much. This shows that Carmelo hogging the ball is a good thing.
This also shows that if the Knicks stay in 8th place at the end of the season the Knicks will have to face the bulls in the playoffs. There showing that their able to beat the bulls and possibility defeating the bulls to go to the 2nd round. Also shows that just Carmelo he can help the Knicks defeat the Bulls without Jeremy Lin. When Jeremy Lin comes back( Which won't be in the 1st round) the Knicks will be able to go further with Carmelo and Jeremy.
In the end Carmelo is showing that him hogging the ball can help the Knicks and their hopes into getting into the playoffs.

Review On Blogs

The 2 blogs that I liked the most were George's in class 813 and Anthony's in class 810. What I liked about George's was that he supported his main topic about irony being in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakesphere with evidence from the book. Anthony's is about a book he's reading called Warriors Don't Cry by Melba Pattillo Beals. He states what has happen so far up to where he has read to and how he reacted to it.
What I could do to improve my own blog entries is to try to improve how I explain what has happen in a book that I'm reading so that the people reading the blog entry be able to understand it more. Also improve how I explain how i react/feel about the book. I could also improve my essay blog entries by giving more specific details. And try to make my essays longer than usually to show evidence to support my main idea more.

Romeo an Juliet Response 2

Shortly after Romeo and Juliet meet each other at the Capulet's feast. They see each other again. Romeo scales a wall to enter the Capulet's garden to see Juliet. After Romeo finishes speaking Juliet starts to say how she will no longer be a Capulet. Here I think that Juliet wants to be with Romeo and get married with him instead of Paris. I also think that Romeo could be afraid of the dark because in Act 2 Scene 2 line 146-147 he says O blessed, blessed night! I am afeard, Being in the night,".

Romeo and Juliet Act 1 Scene 1 Response

Dear Bob,

Today in my class we started to read Romeo and Juliet. So far we have read Act 1 Scene 1. It starts off by the Montague's(Romeo's family) and the Capulet's(Juliet's family). The fight started by two servants of the Capulet's. The servants Sampson and Gregory are waling together on the street and Sampson says how he would do things to the the Montague's maids. Shakespeare uses some inappropriate words to say that Sampson will like rape them. They then bump into a Montague and then start talking which then leads to a fight between the Capulet and Montague families. The Prince then comes to end the fight and warns them that one more if the fight one more then they will have to pay the forfeit of the peace since this is their 3rd time fighting.
I found that reading Shakespeare is interesting but at the same time a little hard to read. Some words are difficult to say. I was so into the book that I accidentally read up to scene 3! I can't wait to read more

My Car Sonnet

It has a beautiful red hood that it hurts,
It hurts so much that I can see my reflection
Its so beautiful that I can eat of it,
But not because I would have to clean it
It burns rubber that others behind me can't see,
I can hear them scream at me for it
I remember the day I walked in to buy it,
The person that sold it to me soon became my with

I remember the first of ever thing that happen with my car,
Like the time I drove my wife to our wedding
I remember I made my hit single in it,
I also remember hearing it in it for the first time

With out my car how would my life be,
My life wouldn’t be like this at this moment.
