On The Devil's Court Part 2

When I last left off Joe was told by the coach that he should join the Junior varsity team. One day Joe walked by a abandoned building. A few days later Joe decided to go in to see what it was. He was surprised to see that it was a abandoned gym. Joe would then go there to go play ball. Since fall was approaching it was getting darker and the only light source was the light that was coming from outside. One day he was able to see the shadow of the backboard. Joe noticed that the shadow was different from what it actually looked to him. That day he was able to shoot better.  He was shooting so good that he decided to sell his soul to the Devil. He tells the Devil "Give me a full season of power, and my soul is yours." He decides to sell his soul to the Devil because in English class his teacher assigned everyone to read about a Doctor named Faustus who asks the Devil for 24 years of  power.
The next day Joe tries to impress the coach so that he can join the varsity team. Coach was so impressed that he was shocked to tell Joe that he can join the varsity team. Joe went to his first practice with the team and he was confused by the different plays they had. John then helped him remember the plays. On the teams first game Joe sat on the bench for most of the game expect for the 4th quarter. When the 4th quarter started the team was down by 57-48. Joe then started to play and that's when the team started to play better. Joe helped the team get the win. When the team was down 65-57 there was only four minutes left. 70-67 with a minute to go. The team was then down by 1 point with only eighteen seconds left. Joe was able to get the ball and go for an easy lay-in to help the team win 71-70 in their first game. On the team's second game Joe was the starter. They were playing a Metro team. The nobody expected the team to beat them. But they were shocked. Eastside Academy had beaten Collins Academy a Metro team. In the locker room the team manager came in with a stat sheet and was shocked when he got to Joe's named. Joe had scored thirty points that day. Twelve if sixteen fr f the field including two three pointers, and four for five from the foul line. Joe was having an amazing season so far that the coach was telling the team to feed Joe the ball. He didn't want some of the guys to shoot from outside. He want Joe to do most of the shooting for the team.
